We will visit the political and religious centre of Florence. From Piazza Duomo, where we will admire the Romanesque Baptistery and the Cathedral with its enormous dome built by Brunelleschi, we will then move to Piazza Signoria dominated by the imposing fortress- palace of Palazzo Vecchio and worldwide famous for being an open-air museum of sculpture, full of statues by the most important artists of the Renaissance. Along the itinerary we will learn Florence's history from its palaces and churches such as Orsanmichele church, Palazzo Medici Riccardi and many others.

This tour will take from the city centre to the Oltrarno quarter, a district full of beautiful palaces and churches but also rich in shops that carry on the artisanal traditions of Florence.
After visiting the most beautiful palaces in the city centre, such as Palazzo Davanzati, a typical nobleman's house of the 14th century, we will cross the river and reach Santo Spirito Church built in the 15C to a design by Brunelleschi, and overlooking one of the most beautiful squares in Florence. The tour will then proceed to Palazzo Pitti, seat of the Medici dynasty of grand-dukes from the 16C to the 18C. During the itinerary we will stop by at the many artisans shops selling leather, silk, decorated paper and all the many productions Florence is famous for.
